Overview
User Activities empowers users to take control of their time management by enabling them to report hours for various tasks that may not fall within their regular shift schedule.
Whether it's volunteering for special projects, participating in community events, or completing additional responsibilities, users can conveniently log these hours directly from within the Volunteer Portal.
This flexibility not only enhances the candidate experience but also ensures that all contributions are accurately recorded, promoting transparency and recognition for their efforts.
Note: All approved User Activity hours will be added to the users total hours and contribute towards reward and recognition allocations, if applicable.
To enable users to log User Activities, you will need to complete a few steps within the admin console, check out the User Activities - Overview article for more information.
In this article we will be going through reviewing logged hours / activities that have been submitted.
Reviewing Logged Hours
Administrators with the correct admin permissions are able to review, amend and approve / reject submitted hours and activities.
To review submitted hours / activities, follow these steps:
In the Admin Console, navigate to Events > Events.
Locate or search for the event you wish to review User Activities on, click More Actions > View User Activities.
All submitted hours / activities for this event will be shown here.
Approving / Rejecting User Activities
Administrators can approve / reject submitted hours and activities within the Admin Console.
To approve / reject user activities, follow these steps:
In the Admin Console, navigate to Events > Events.
Locate or search for the event you wish to review User Activities on, click More Actions > View User Activities.
The Status column will show the status of each submitted activity, to approve or reject an activity, simply click this field and select the appropriate option from the dropdown list.
Auto-approving User Activities
To enable user activities to be set to auto-approve, you will need to adjust some Account Settings.
Navigate to Settings > Organization Settings > Search for User Activities.

Auto approve User Activities: User Activities will be auto-approved if this setting is set to Yes.
Auto approve User Activities less than duration of: Control which User Activities will be auto-approved based on the length of duration. If this setting is set at 0, all submitted activities will be auto-approved.
Note: All user activities will need to be submitted prior to the current time, as user activities are for reporting events that have already happened.
Note: It is important to note that users will only be able to submit a maximum of 5 activities per day, that auto-approve.
βThis limit has been put in place to prevent mass submission, and ensure it is not misused.
Amending User Activities
From time-to-time users may require assistance with amending logged hours / activities, as they only have access to submit or delete.
To amend/edit a submitted activity, follow the below steps:
Navigate to the required record (follow the steps within Reviewing Logged Hours for instructions).
Click the Quick Update Record button against the activity.
Make the required changes, then click Save.
