Add Terms and Conditions to the User Portal

Display legal policies in the User Portal footer so volunteers and members can access core agreements anytime.

Footer Terms and Conditions display legal policies globally across the User Portal, ensuring volunteers and organisation members can access core agreements at any time. Configuring Terms and Conditions for the footer establishes a persistent reference link.


Create Terms and Conditions Configuration

  1. Click Settings > Portal Content.

  2. Click the More Actions menu on the Policies, Terms and conditions line.

  3. Click Create. The Create screen appears:

  4. (Optional) Click the Checkpoint dropdown to select a checkpoint.

  5. Click the Content field to type your Terms and Conditions.

  6. Click the Save button.


Upload Terms and Conditions

Instead of typing Terms and Conditions manually into the Content field, you can upload a PDF document when creating your configuration.

  1. Click Settings > Portal Content.

  2. Click the More Actions menu on the Policies, Terms and conditions line.

  3. Click Create. The Create screen appears:

  4. Click the Upload File icon.

    The File Upload window appears:

  5. Click the Upload button. The Add File window appears:

  6. Enter a Name for the file.

  7. Click the Browse button. The Open window appears:

  8. Select the file you wish to upload.

  9. Click the Open button. The file is uploaded:

  10. Click the Upload button. The File Upload window appears:

  11. Click the More Actions menu on the file you wish to add to the Content field.

  12. Click Select. The file is embedded in the file name as a link:

  13. Click the Save button.


Update a Terms and Conditions Configuration

  1. Click Settings > Portal Content.

  2. Click the More Actions menu on the Policies, Terms and conditions line.

  3. Click Update. The list screen appears:

  4. Click the More Actions menu on the configuration you wish to update.

  5. Click Update. The Update screen appears:

  6. Update the content as desired.

  7. Click the Save button.


Preview a Terms and Conditions Configuration

Previewing a policy allows administrators to verify how terms and agreements render across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices before publishing. This ensures legal content remains clear, readable, and fully accessible across all screen sizes.

  1. Click Settings > Portal Content.

  2. Click the More Actions menu on the Policies, Terms and conditions line.

  3. Click Update. The list screen appears:

  4. Click the More Actions menu on the configuration you wish to update.

  5. Click Preview. The Preview window appears:

  6. Click to select the desktop, tablet or mobile icons to preview how the content appears across different screen sizes.

  7. Click the Close button.


View Terms and Conditions in the User Portal

Once created, the Terms and Conditions configuration automatically applies across the User Portal as the default policy. To access the Terms and Conditions policy on the User Portal:

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the page in the User Portal.

  2. Click the Terms & Conditions link in the bottom right-hand corner. A new window opens displaying the terms and conditions policy.


Delete a Terms and Conditions Configuration

⚠️Warning: Deleting a configuration is a permanent action and data cannot be restored.

  1. Click Settings > Portal Content.

  2. Click the More Actions menu on the Policies, Terms and conditions line.

  3. Click Update. The list screen appears:

  4. Click the More Actions menu on the configuration you wish to update.

  5. Click Delete. The following window appears:

  6. Click the Yes button.
