Waivers capture a user's signature alongside a timestamp of when the terms were accepted. This ensures participants formally acknowledge your organisation's requirements, helping satisfy compliance and safeguarding obligations.
Each captured waiver is securely stored to provide an auditable trail for reporting, dispute resolution, and regulatory review. Automating waiver collection reduces administrative overhead, minimizes legal risk, and streamlines onboarding for both volunteers and staff.

Enable Organization Settings
Ensure the following setting is set to Yes:
Click Settings > Organization Settings.
Click the Users tab.
Ensure the Enable waivers? setting is set to Yes.
Click the Save button.
Create a Waiver
Click Users > Waivers.
Click the Create button. The Create Waiver screen appears:
Enter a Name for the waiver. This name is only visible to administrators.
Click the This Waiver Applies To dropdown menu to select one of the following:
User: Only needs to be signed once. The agreement applies globally across the entire account and never needs to be signed again.
Event User: Signed per event. The user accepts the waiver every time they register for a new event.
Event Shift User: Signed per shift. The user accepts the waiver every time they join a specific shift.
Role Offer User: Signed per role offer. The user accepts the waiver every time they receive a new role offer.
💡Tip: The selected user cannot be changed after creation.
Enter information into the Content field.
(Optional) Check the Has Expiry? box to select a time period the waiver is valid for before expiring. The following fields appear:
Click the Save button.
Update a Waiver
Click Users > Waivers.
Click the More Actions menu on the waiver you wish to update.
Click Update. The Update Waiver screen appears:
Update the information desired.
(Optional) Click the New Version button in the Version field to create a new version of the waiver. Each time a new version is published, users will be required to sign the waiver again.
Click the Save button.
Delete a Waiver
⚠️Warning: Deleting a waiver is a permanent action and data cannot be restored.
