There is the ability to set the default shift status within your organisation, event and shift settings. There are 5 default statuses with different purposes:
βApplied
Does not count toward the shift demand (i.e does not reserve a spot on the shift)
Users do not see the shift in their upcoming shift list. An admin must change their status to pending or confirmed for the shift to be visible
Triggers 'Shift - Apply' automation
Pending
Does count toward the shift demand
Users can see they are Pending on their portal dashboard
They can choose to Confirm or withdraw from the shift if enabled in the shift settings
Confirmed
Does count toward the demand
Users can see they are Confirmed on their portal dashboard
They can choose to withdraw from the shift if enabled
Triggers Confirm automation
Rejected
Does not count toward the demand
Triggers rejected automation when admin or user rejects a shift
Emergency
Does not count toward the demand (reserve a spot)
Users do not see the shift in their upcoming shift list on the portal dashboard. An admin must change their status to pending or confirmed for the shift to be visible
An admin must update to an Applied, Pending or Confirmed status
Waitlist
Does not count toward the demand (reserve a spot)
Cancelled
