Creating an Event Type

Event Types help you organise and group your volunteer activities into clear categories. This makes it easier to filter your Events and ensures your data is consistent for reporting.

An Event Type enables you to categorise your Events and how they appear in the User Portal based on your organisation's needs. For example, if the term "Opportunities" is more relevant to categorise certain Events in your organisation, the Event Type can be modified to reflect this.

See the following instructions to create an Event Type:

  1. Click Events > Events > Types.

  2. Click the Create button. The Create Event Type screen appears.

  3. Enter the following information:

Name (Singular): The name of the Event Type in singular form. This field is required.
