Customising form fields gives you full control over how Users interact with your forms and ensures you gather the right data. You can easily configure options like mandatory answers, field visibility, and help text to build a smooth experience for Users.

Configure Fields on a Form
Click on the field, or click the three dot menu on the field and select Configure. The Configure Field window appears displaying General, Advanced and Visibility tabs.
General Tab
The General Tab allows you to configure how the field is displayed and any additional hints or messages to be displayed to users. You can edit the following fields in the General tab:
Label: The name of the field displayed on the form.
Hint: Information that is displayed in a tooltip
next to the field label.
Message: Information that appears below the field.
Is Mandatory: Check this box to make a field required. An asterisk
appears next to the field. 
š”Tip: Mandatory fields marked with an asterisk 
can be reverted to optional fields via the General tab or click the menu on the field > Make Optional.
Advanced Tab
You can edit the following fields in the Advanced tab:
With Confirmation? Check this box to require users to confirm their entry by typing it twice. This option is typically used for passwords or email addresses to ensure accuracy, as both fields must match before the form can be saved.
CSS Classes: Allows for customised styling to an attribute on a form.
ā ļøWarning: This is an advanced functionality and should only be used by those with knowledge of CSS classes.
Show as Dropdown: Check this box to change the field to a drop-down selection. This option only applies to a field that is a checkbox option.
Visibility Tab
Use the Visibility tab to create rules in your form. Visibility rules optimise data collection by ensuring volunteers only see the most relevant questions based on their previous answers. The rules hide unnecessary fields and only triggering follow-up questions when a user provides a qualifying response. By presenting only the most relevant information, you create a cleaner, more efficient form tailored for each individual.
Click the Add Rule button.
Click the first drop-down menu to select a conditional field.
Click the second drop-down menu to select a condition for the rule. This rule determines when it the conditional field appears.
Click the Value field to enter the specific answer to complete your rule.
Click the Update button to save the rule.
Click the Save button on the form builder to save your changes.
Tipš”: The available conditional fields depend on the the type of form you are using and the data already saved to a user's profile. Fields that are mandatory for a user to complete appear at the top of the drop-down list. Any information already saved to a user's profile is labeled as User Data.
One way to use User Data for field visibility is by checking a user's age. For example, you can hide license-relates questions for anyone under 18. Since the date of birth is already saved in the user's profile from registration, the system can automatically apply this rule without asking for their age again.
Mandatory, Required and Optional Fields
Fields can be marked as required or optional via the menu on the field:
Optional fields: Any field that is not required by default can be changed to required if you need Users to fill it out. Click the field menu > click Make Required. An asterisk
appears next to the field. 
Required fields: Fields set as required can be switched back to optional at any time if collecting that information becomes optional. Click the field menu > click Make Optional. The asterisk is removed from the field.
Mandatory fields: System-required settings that are locked by the platform and cannot be edited or changed. Mandatory fields cannot be removed from a form.
