IN THIS RELEASE:
What's New 🚀
Our dedicated team has been working tirelessly to enhance the Rosterfy platform, focusing on user feedback and evolving industry needs. We are excited to introduce a variety of new features designed to improve functionality, streamline processes, and enrich the overall user experience.
Ability to Sort Reward & Recognition Items
We've introduced a new Sort Order feature to help you better organise your Reward & Recognition items.
When creating any type of Reward & Recognition item (Distributable, Virtual, or Certificate), you'll now see a Sort Order field that allows you to control how your items are arranged and displayed.
When creating a new Reward & Recognition item, locate the Sort Order field.
Enter a number to determine its position (lower numbers appear first).
If you're an admin, you can add the Sort Order column to your display to easily manage the arrangement of all items.
💡How this helps: Ensures the most important items are always displayed first and helps remove admin workarounds.
Ability to Search Admin Permissions
We've enhanced the admin permissions to make finding and managing permissions faster and easier.
You can now search for specific permissions and quickly expand or collapse the entire permission tree, eliminating the need to rely on your browser's search function or manually navigate through multiple levels.
Key Features
Search Permissions:
Two-word Search: Enter up to two words to find specific permissions (e.g., Headcount Job or Volunteer Reports).
Smart Results: Search results appear within their proper branch structure, so you can see exactly where each permission belongs.
Terminology Support: The search works with your organisation's custom terminology settings.
Expand/Collapse Controls:
Expand All: Click to open every branch and see all available permissions at once.
Collapse All: Click to close all branches for a cleaner, simplified view.
Quick Navigation: Perfect when you need to scan multiple permission categories.
💡How this helps: Find the right permission you need to update quickly and easily.
Reference Check Types
We have made improvements to the Reference Check module, this now enables admins to create different types of user checks within your account to support diverse organisational needs.
Whether you need separate processes for staff vs volunteers, medical clearances, or age-appropriate checks, you can now tailor reference collection to your specific requirements.
Setup:
Navigate to User Check settings
Add new reference type (e.g., "Medical Reference", "Character Reference")
Configure requirements for each type:
Mode (reference check vs parental consent)
Number of references required
Reference check expiry
Custom form questions for referees
Auto-approval settings
Check out the Reference Check - Overview article for more information.
Using Multiple User Check Types in a Form:
Within a user interaction form, admins can select to add a reference check or parental consent section to the form. The admin will now be presented with the option to select the specific type of check they want to add to the form. This will allow multiple types of checks to be added to a single form (or multiple forms) if needed.
Reference Collection Process:
Referees receive emails specific to the reference type they're completing
Each reference type uses its own custom form and questions
Reference completion tracked separately by type
Different approval workflows can apply to each type
💡How this helps: Provides more flexibility when collecting reference checks, ensuring the right information is collected for the right people and roles
Add Admin Notes to User Groups
Administrators can now leave notes against a Group.
Within the User Groups listing, a new option 'Group Notes' is available in the group actions menu.
Any administrator with 'Notes' permissions can view and leave notes against a group.
💡How this helps: Allows administrators to share notes about groups or their members for overall better management and oversight of Groups
